Zaragoza 2014: Lauantai 10.5. / Mari ja Emmi:



 Hei!



Lauantai oli päivä, jolloin perheissä nukuttiin hieman pidempään, ja itsekin nukuimme melkein yhteentoista. Ei tarvinnut kiirehtiä ja saimme syödä aamiaiset rauhassa sekä laittaa itsemme valmiiksi kunnes yhden maissa suurinosa saapui Puerto Veneciaan.



Saturday is the day when spanish people sleep a littlebit longer and that is why we also slept until 11.00. There was no rush and we could eat our breakfasts with time. At around 13.00 the most of people arrived in to Puerto Venecia. 

 Puerto Venecia on Euroopan suurin ostoskeskus ja siltä se vaikuttikin! Kiertelimme kauppakeskusta puoli neljään asti, jolloin menimme syömään kukiin haluamaansa ravintolaan.



Puerto Venecia is the biggest shopping centre in Europe and so it seemed like one!

We had time to walk around the mall and visit the stores until 15.30 when everyone went to eat something into different restaurants.

Syötyämme jatkoimme vielä pari tuntia shoppailua, kunnes illansuussa lähdimme host-perheisiimme.

Viimeisen illan vietimme kaikki omilla tavoillamme, syöden sekä pakaten tavaroitamme perheissä. Useat katsoivat myös Euroviisuja. Myöhemmin tapasimme vielä viimeisen kerran koko porukalla sekä kävelimme yhdessä paikkaan, jonne bussi meidät viikko sitten jättikin. Sieltä oli tarkoitus lähteä kohti Barcelonan lentokenttää.



As we had eaten, we still had few hours left for shopping until everyone went back to host-families in the beginning of evening. We spent the last night in different ways, packing and eating. Many people also watched the Eurovisions. Later that night we met with the group one last time and walked together to the place where the bus left us last Sunday. From there we headed to the airport of

 Barcelona.

Sunnuntai 11.5. / Raisa ja Aleksandra

Hi!

On Sunday we went back to home Jyväskylä. We left from Zaragoza on Saturday night. About 1am the bus picked us up to Barcelona.  We were so sad because we needed to leave home and most of us were crying a lot. The flight left at 8 in the morning and we were on Finland at 13pm more or less. At home we were 16.30 and everybody was tired because we travelled many hours and we didn't get to sleep well and enough.

Tänään lähdimme takaisin Jyväskylään. Lähdimme Zaragozasta lauantai-iltana. Noin yhdeksältä bussi haki meidät kohti Barcelonaa. Olimme surullisia lähdöstä ja monet meistä itkivät paljon. Lento lähti kahdeksalta aamulla ja olimme Suomessa noin yhden aikaan iltapäivällä. Kotona olimme puoli viisi ja kaikki olivat väsyneitä koska olimme matkustaneet monta tuntia ja emme saaneet nukuttua hyvin ja tarpeeksi.

We decided to make a video from our trip because it was so hard describe by words how indcredible, magnificent and awesome exchange we had with all the emotions, memories and fun what we had and how we get a lot of new lovely friends from Spain and also from Finland!
 So as in summary we can say that it was the best trip, and one of the best weeks in our life and we can't wait till September when we can see them again!

Päätimme tehdä videon matkastamme koska oli niin vaikeaa kuvailla sanoin kuinka uskomattoman suuremmoinen ja mahtava vaihto meillä oli, kaikkineen tunteineen muistoineen ja hauskan  kanssa mitä meillä oli ja kuinka saimme paljon uusia ihania ystäviä Espanjasta ja myös Suomesta!

 Joten näin yhteenvetona voimme sanoa että se oli paras matka ja yksi parhaimmista viikoista elämissämme ja emmekä jaksa odottaa syyskuuta jolloin näemme heidät uudestaan!

¡Hola!

In the morning we took a bus to Alquezar for trekking in el Vero Canyon. Bus trip took about two hours, but it was worth it. The canyon was really amazing and there were a river running through it. The water was clear and blue and very cold but some of us went swimming anyway cause the weather was so hot (more than 30 degrees).

  

  

 

Trekking took the whole day and we were back in Zaragoza at about six in the evening. After that some of us went to a park near Antonio's place to see his pet hedgehog, Edie. Then we went home to have dinner and dressed up for Marielas birthdayparty. Almost all from our exchangegroup met at the citycentre to spend our last whole night and good time with great people. We also met many friends of our hosts and the whole night was so amazing and unforgettable.

OUR HOSTS

We were so lucky that we got the best hosts ever. From the first day it felt so amazing that we had so good connection with them. They were so similar to us and they soon became very good friends of us. They introduced us to their friends and so we got known with many other spanish people too.

Our hostfamilies were so kind and friendly for us. In the end of the week they started feeling almost like our own parents. They treated us like their own children and when we came back to Finland it felt like our home was left to Spain.

We became like sisters and brothers with Carlota and Antonio and they made that week so special. We miss them so freaking much but almost in four months they come to Finland and it feels like eternity! Love you!!

¡Hola! 

Tänään aamulla lähdettiin käymään Aljaferian palatsissa. Meidän ihana vakio-oppaamme piti meille kattavan esittelykierroksen palatsissa.

Hi! 

This morning we went to Palacio de la Aljaferia. Our lovely guide gave us a very informative tour around the palace.

Kierroksen jälkeen  menimme Parque Grandeen piknikille. Parque Grande on Zaragozan suurin puisto, missä oli paljon suihkulähteitä ja ylhäältä avautuu kauniit näkymät pitkälle kaupunkiin.

After a tour, we went near the school, to the Parque Grande. It is the biggest park in Zaragoza. There are a lot of beautiful fountains and the view from the top of the park is very amazing.

Kahden jälkeen lähdimme host-perheisiin syömään lounasta. Koko loppuilta oli vapaa aktiviteeteistä, mutta suurin osa ryhmästämme kokoontui vielä kaupungin keskustaan viettämään iltaa.

Around 14.00 we went to have lunch with our own host families. The rest of the day was free from activities. Most of our group still hung out at the city center in the evening.


ESPANJALAINEN RUOKA / SPANISH FOOD


AAMIAINEN / BREAKFAST

Espanjassa aamiainen on yleensä makea. Useimmiten se koostuu kupillisesta kaakaota, tuoremehusta, kekseistä tai muista makeista leivoksista. Onneksi tarjolla on ollut yleensä myös muroja sekä leipää. Olemme huomanneet hauskan tavan espanjalaisilla lämmittää murot maidon kanssa mikrossa. Emme valitettavasti ole päässeet maistamaan tätä paikallista herkkua, mutta näyttää maistuvan ainakin espanjalaisille.

In Spain, the breakfast is usually something little and sweet. It contains cup of hot chocolate, juice, cookies or some other bakery products. Luckily there has been also bread and cereals. We have noticed a funny spanish way to warm up the cereals with milk in a microwave. Unfortunately we haven't tasted this delicious treat, but it seems that spanish people like it.

 
VÄLIPALA / SNACK

Espanjassa ei ole tarjolla kouluruokaa, joten kouluun otetaan yleensä mukaan pientä syötävää. Eväänä voi olla esimerkiksi täytetty patonki, hedelmä ja vesipullo.
 
In Spain, there is no food provided by the school, so the food is usually taken to the school by the students. The snack can be for example a sandwich, fruits and a bottle of water.

 
LOUNAS / LUNCH

Lounas syödään koulun jälkeen, suunnilleen kolmen aikaan. Se on yleensä päivän suurin ateria. Tarjolla voi olla lihaa, pastaa ja muuta vastaavaa. Lounaat eivät ole poikenneet juurikaan suomalaisesta ruoasta, paitsi että oliiviöljyä käytetään kaiken kanssa ja vähintään tuplamäärä. Yleensä jokaiseen lounaaseen kuuluu jälkiruoka.

Lunch is eaten after school, around 15.00. It is usually the biggest meal of the day. Our hosts have served us meat, pasta and everything like that. Lunches are quite similar compared to Finlands. Olive oil is used with everything and very much. Usually there is 
dessert with every lunch.

Joskus lounaan ja päivällisen välissä espanjalaiset syövät jotain pientä, kuten hedelmiä.

Sometimes between lunch and dinner spanish people eat something small, like fruits.

 
PÄIVÄLLINEN / DINNER

Nimestään huolimatta päivällinen syödään hyvin myöhään, vasta kymmenen aikaan illalla. Päivällinen on hyvin lounaan kaltainen ateria. Päivällisellä meille on tarjoiltu paljon tyypillisiä espanjalaisia ruokia, kuten tortilla de patatas tai croquettas. Jälkiruoka kuuluu päivälliseen ja on epäkohteliasta jättää se syömättä, vaikka olisikin täynnä.

Dinner is eaten very late, around 22.00. It's very similar to the lunch. Dinner has usually contained some typical spanish foods, for example tortilla de patatas and croquettas. Dessert is an important part of the dinner. It would be very impolite to not eat it, even though you're not hungry anymore.

Keskiviikko 7.5. / Maisa ja Iida

Heissan!

Aamu lähti käyntiin pikaisella aamupalalla hostissa, jonka jälkeen kokoonnuimme koko porukalla (suomalaiset, sekä espanjalaiset hostimme) ja ahtauduimme bussiin. Matka kohti ensimmäistä kohdettamme, Loarren vanhaa linnaa vei meidät kauniin maalaismaiseman ja pikkukylien lävitse. Perille päästyämme näimme pienen videon linnan historiasta ja sen jälkeen pääsimme itsekin kurkistamaan sen syövereihin, oppaan johdolla.

Breakfast at host families and off to bus all together (both, finnish and spanish people). First we went to Castillo de Loarre. Landscape there was breathtaking. Short video of the castle's history and after that a guided tour.

 

Mielenkiintoisen kierroksen ja evästauon jälkeen hyppäsimme taas bussiin ja ajoimme mutkaista tietä, päämääränämme varustevuokraamo. Sieltä saimme matkaan sopivat varusteet ja ammattitaitoiset oppaat.

After an interesting tour and a little lunch break  we headed towards the rental company to get our equipment for the rafting and also met our skilled guides. 

  

Lyhyen ohjeistuksen jälkeen hyppäsimme kumiveneisiin ja se oli sitten menoa! Porottava aurinko ja viileä vesi, sekä huikaisevat maisemat saivat hymyn jokaisen huulille. 

After a short info we hopped into rubber boats and were free to go! The sun was burning hot, the water freezing and the landscape gorgeous!

Pienen evästauon jälkeen oli edessä paluumatka Zaragozaan. Saavuimme perille kuuden maissa, kohtalaisen väsyneinä upeasta päivästä. Levättyämme muutaman tunnin perheidemme luona, osa porukasta lähti vielä viettämään iltaa, elokuvan muodossa.

After having a little snack we headed back to Zaragoza. We arrived at six, quite tired from amazing day. We rested for few hours in our lovely families and in the evening some of us went out to see a movie.

Maanantai 5.5. / Ellinoora ja Jenna

Today we woke up in our host families for the first time. After having breakfast we left for school. At school we had official welcome and we were showed around the school. After that our Spanish hosts performed a "sevillana" dance, and then they tried to teach that to us. Later we had a lesson about Spanish culture and food. After the lesson we left for a city tour. We walked around the older part of Zaragoza and visited for ex-vaimolle in Catedral-Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar.

Ensimmäinen aamu isäntäperheissämme sujui mallikkaasti. Aamupalan jälkeen lähdettiin pikkuhiljaa valumaan kohti koulua, kukin omin kyytinein. Osa paikallisella raitiovaunulla, eli ''tramilla'', toiset bussilla tai kävellen. Koululla meidät vastaanotti englannin opettaja, joka piti meille virallisen ''tervetuloa tilaisuuden''. Päivän mittaan meille kerrottiin espanjalaisesta kulttuurista, sekä opeteltiin flamencoa, mikä ei allekirjoittaneelta ainakaan luonnistunut aivan toivotulla tavalla.. Tanssahtelujen jälkeen pari koulun opettajaa lähti kierrättämään meitä kaupungin nähtävyyksille. Pilarin kirkko- ja aukio, kuten myös Roomanvaltakunnan aikaset muurit ja teatteri tulivat porukalle hyvinkin tutuiksi. 

After our hosts schooldays finished we went to our homes to eat and change clothes. Then we met again for shopping and a bit of sightseeing.

Kun isäntiemme päivän oppitunnit olivat ohi, kukin suuntasi perheensä luo syömään lounasta ja vaihtamaan parempaa päälle. Illalla osaporukasta suuntasi kaupoille ja osa puistoon viettämään mukavaa iltaa espanjalaisten ja suomalaisten kesken.

¡Hola!
Today we, 16 girls, one boy and two teachers left from cold Jyväskylä at 8 c´clock to Helsinki-Vantaa airport an Zaragoza. We arrived to the airport at 11 o´clock. There we spent next three hours eating and shopping. Our flight left at 14 o´clock. The flight went well evan the take off was exciting.
 
Tänään me, 16 tyttöä, yksi poika ja kaksi opettajaa lähdimme kylmästä Jyväskylästä kello 8 Helsinki-Vantaan lentokentälle ja siitä Zaragozaan. Saavuimme lentokentälle kello 11. Siellä vietimme seuraavat kolem tuntia syöden ja shoppaillen. Lentomme lähti kello 14. Lentomme meni hyvi vaikka lähtö oli jännittävä.


Last night in Jyväskylä













When we arrived to Barcelona there was very sunny and warm. Our busdriver was already waiting for us at the airport, when we arrived. We were all really hungry so we stopped buy some food from a gasstation. We were in bus for three hours and closer we get to Zaragoz more nervios we became for seeing our host families.

Kun saavuimme Barcelonaan, siellä oli hyvin aurinkoista ja lämmintä. Bussinkuljettajamme odotti meitä jo lentokentällä, kun saavuimme sinne. Olimme kaikki todella nälkäisiä, pysähdyimme siis huoltoasemalle ostamaan ruokaa. Olimme bussissa noin kolme tuntia ja mitä lähemmäs Zaragozaa pääsimme, sitä hermostuneimmiksi tulimme miettiessämme isäntäperheidemme tapaamista.

The first meeting with our host families was weird, but we were nervioso for no reason, because the families are really nice and friendly!

Ensitapaaminen isäntäperheidemme kanssa oli outo, mutta olimme olleen hermostuneita aivan turhaan, koska perheet ovat todella mukavia ja ystävällisiä!
